Everything from the session, in one place. Copy, paste, and make each one yours.
Use them in Copilot (or Claude). Swap anything in [square brackets] for your own words. Talk to it where you can: your voice carries more context than your typing. And when a prompt works well, save it. That is how it sticks.
When you are stuck, or going in circles, this gets you moving again.
What questions should I have asked you to get the answer I wanted?
Let the AI ask before it answers. The fastest way to a great result, and you never face a blank box.
I want to [describe what you're trying to produce]. Before you answer, interview me. Ask the questions you need to give me a brilliant answer. Ask one multiple-choice question at a time, a maximum of five, and wait for my answer before the next one. When you have enough, tell me you're ready, then give me the answer.
Never take the first draft. Give it a role, ask it to be honest, and learn from what it changes.
Act as a senior [role]. Here's my draft: [paste]. Review it to a high standard, be honest about what's weak, then give me an improved version. Tell me what you changed and why.
Turn your own writing into a reusable style the AI can match. Paste a few real emails from your sent folder.
I'm going to paste some emails from my sent folder. This is my golden example: the truest version of how I write. Work backwards from it. Study my tone, my structure, the phrases I use, how I open and sign off. Then write me a reusable house-style prompt I can give you in future so everything you draft sounds like me. Break my style into its parts, and give me a short style guide I can keep.
A Kanban board built from your brain dump, your calendar and your inbox. In Copilot, type / to point it at a file or a meeting transcript. If it can't reach them, paste them straight in.
I'm going to brain-dump everything on my plate. Then look at my calendar for the next two weeks, my inbox, and any recent meeting notes or transcripts in my files. Pull out anything that's a task or a commitment, and combine it with my brain dump. Organise it all into a Kanban board with the columns To do, Doing, Waiting on, and Done. Group by theme and flag anything urgent. What else do you need from me? Here's my brain dump: [paste]
For anything that matters, ask this before you act on it. AI is confident even when it's wrong.
Before I rely on this, tell me what might be wrong, out of date, or made up. Flag anything you're not confident about, and show me how to check it.
The real win is never doing the same work twice. When something works, turn it into a prompt you keep.
That worked well. Turn what we just did into a reusable prompt I can save and run again, so next time I don't start from scratch.
Quantify what you just did.
Add up everything we made together today: the style guide, the board, all of it. Roughly how many hours would this have taken a human to do? Give it to me as an itemised list, so I can see the time I just saved.
Point it at any task before you start it. The habit that makes all of this stick.
I'm about to [do this task]. How can you help me?
Didn't get to the pre-work, or want more? This finds where AI will save you the most time, fast.
My role is [job title] at the Guild of Fine Food. List the ten tasks in my week that are most frequent, frustrating and time-consuming. For each one, tell me how you could help me with it.
